Outreach and Recruitment - Classified Temporary

Work alongside Folsom Lake College staff, faculty, and administrators to assist with planning, coordinating, organizing, and providing information about college programs and services to facilitate the recruitment of students.

As a valuable team member, you will assist with providing information about college programs and services to high schools, businesses, and service organizations throughout the region, electronically, and in person. You will engage with potential first-time college students in our service area to promote college enrollment and build connections within your community to recruit new students. As a representative of Folsom Lake College, you will attend and participate in various activities and events in the service area to gather information about student needs. You will assist with the development of college activities designed to promote recruitment efforts, as well as cater promotional materials and workshop information taking student needs into consideration. Serve as a resource for staff, students, and the community by explaining the pre-enrollment process and connecting students to valuable support services.

One year of successful experience involving responsibility in a variety of student or community service programs. Experience working with students, staff, faculty, and administrators using excellent communication skills to achieve departmental goals. Experience with public speaking, computer usage and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Knowledge of presentation styles, leadership, and the ability to connect with audiences in the college’s service area. Skilled in creating presentations and using online platforms to connect with future students. Familiar with remote learning operations using a high level of proficiency with computer programs such as: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other software platforms. The willingness to learn about Los Rios policies and procedures at Folsom Lake College.
