Marketing/Communications Internship
Westervelt Ecological Services specializes in restoring and conserving wetlands, streams, and endangered-species habitat across the U.S. This paid position aims to support the marketing team and gain marketing experience in the environmental field.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in content creation for company social media accounts, web content, collateral, etc.
- Author content to support digital marketing to include social media and email campaigns.
- Photograph and record video of habitats and staff at our mitigation sites.
- Edit and compile footage for use on all digital channels.
- Collaborate across departments to gather information and successfully execute work.
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms. Background in Hootsuite preferred.
- Solid understanding of different marketing techniques.
- Applicants must be enrolled in classes for the 2025 Spring Semester pursuing a degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field.
This position will be based out of Sacramento, California. Work schedules will be adjustable to meet intern availability and project requirements.
