Student Laboratory Intern

The Sacramento Area Sewer District Environmental Laboratory provides certified environmental testing and field sampling services for the EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility (formerly the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant) and other local public agencies. The laboratory is located in Elk Grove, CA. Its analytical services include certified testing of drinking water, sanitary wastewater, surface water, industrial wastewater, stormwater, groundwater, biosolids, gases, and hazardous materials.

Student job duties will include assisting with testing, sample collection, sample preparation, preparation of bacteriological media, data entry of test results, and other laboratory tasks as needed. Students typically work 15-20 hours per week (Monday-Friday) during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks.
